Cable TV

Aside from the internet I would put cable tv in my top most list of innovation that made our life convenient. I have always been vocal about not liking the local programs that we have right now and I only watched local channels for the news every night and if my mood permits some dramas that come after the news. But all in all I never really got a chance to stay glued to what is being aired locally.Well, I also have to add that now that the little girl is growing and can tell what she really likes, she is quite adamant to just stay on one channel only. And that is PLAYHOUSE DISNEY.

Four more days and the husband will be home for his two week vacation. I planned to spend a day in the spa for a scrub and massage and then on a salon to get my hair done. I badly needed a hair cut because I am again having serious hair fall. Way back 2002 when my LUPUS is attacking my body I almost went bald. I decided to cut my hair and that solved the problem. Now, I am thinking what style of short hair would I want. I was telling my husband about my decision and he was okay with it but he also insisted on me checking first the wholesale electronics he wanted to buy.

Tayong Dalawa Extended

I was watching the news last night and it featured the thanksgiving party of Tayong Dalawa. There are times when I watched this drama and there are times that I just cannot go on with all the scenes that I have to trade my night watching programs in Playhouse Disney. At least my little girl is happy! lol. Anyway, the drama will be extended. According to reports it will be ending in July but maybe because of the rating and the good reviews, ABSCBN decided to extend it and enjoy the high ratings. Well, that’s just the way it is. But now I really don’t watch the dramas because they only make me depressed and all. In fact, I avoid watching May Bukas Pa. lol. Seeing those kids being forced to be beggars is something I don’t really like to see even if its only on tv. Well, that’s just me.

I think we might be needing a plasma stand to protect our tv from my very artistic daughter who thinks the tv screen is her paper to color. hahaha. Anyway, I was going through the mysoju site when I saw that they have posted the special for the Boys Before Flowers Music Drama. hmm. It’s a musical drama that features the boys life five years after. This would be a nice special. I wonder if this would also be part of the Filipino dubbed BBF who I think as of this moment is soaring in ratings. Of course, this can also be attributed to the popularity of Meteor Garden a few years back. Who can resist the charm of the boys? lol.

Wanting a New Laptop?

I don’t know the general term for the small laptop that are being sold today in the market but what I know is that I want one. hehe. The husband and I are discussing if we would buy one for me and then I’ll just give him my old laptop which he would used for personal purpose (ie. movie downloads). hehe.

The Circus

I was looking into lighting fixtures in the net when another news flash of the Hayden Kho – Katrina Halilli Senate investigation is reported. Really, I am getting tired of hearing news about this too. But unfortunately both are celebrity and individuals from different sector (especially the government sector) wanted a piece of the controversy so that they too can ride on the popularity. I don’t get the reason why Jamby Madrigal wanted a Senate investigation when a lot of government agency have been dealing with it already. It’s a waste of the money of taxpayer. Actually the hearing is turning into a circus and has been an eyesore. It’s a pity that this scandal is overshadowing other important matters like the AH1N1 virus and the opening of school next week. I just hope politicians can stop riding on the controversy.

Unchanging Love – The Song

Remember that the wedding special of Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo which was aired last May 17 was titled Unchanging love which was based on the wedding song sang by Martin Nievera as a gift for the couple? Well, Martin claimed it as a gift then it should be original, isn’t it? Well you and I are mistaken. I was reading through pep.ph and found this article. Seems like the song which Martin claim to be his is a revival of Korean-Japanese-K pop singer Jyongri.

Now be the judge, here are the videos with both the song as a background.

I did watch tonight episode of Only You (of course the Filipino Version). And I love the part where Al Tantay was crying because she tasted the food that Gillian made (name of the female lead played by Angel Locsin). I also love Dimples Romana who despite being a mother has stayed slim (which got me thinking if she one of the the best diet pills in the market). Watching the episode tonight made me realized that I have not posted something about the Korean version which I watched last year. here is the synopsis of the Korean Version :

Okay this is one of those drama that I was able to watched later. But since my memory really is not that sharp I forgot to write about it here on my blog. If only human memory is like a computer memory then I would definitely go for a memory upgrade. lol. The story is about Kim Jung Hwa, a young and sincere middle school teacher, who has little interest in money. She is also extremely warm-hearted and loves to help other people. When she helps carry an elderly man’s belongings from the train to another location, the elderly man is extremely thankful. This grandfather turns out to be the extremely rich owner of a well known conglomerate. His grandson, Kang Dong Won is a quick-tempered businessman who rivals his grandfather, but in an almost comical way. In an order to “tame” his favorite grandson, the grandfather agrees to give his entire fortune to the person who marries Kim Jung Hwa, therefore forcing Kang to meet the girl whom his grandfather chose. Although at first Kim and Kang don’t get along because of Kang’s extremely cute but bad temper, their arguments bring them closer together. Kang starts to get jealous when Kim’s fellow teacher starts liking her too. Through the clever conditions that Kang’s grandfather makes, Kang starts a relationship he does not look forward too. However, what looked like a relationship that would 99% not work out, turns out to be the “perfect” match, the 1% chance. I love the grandpa and the love story not of the main character but the supporting role, the cousin of the lead actor and the friend of the lead actress. The drama’s story is typical but it has the oh so good feeling that I tried watching it. Also, this drama was already shown in our local tv. But if you want to catch it, mysoju has now the complete episode. In the past the episodes have broken link so now everything is working. Yey!

The Connection

It’s no secret that I watched May Bukas Pa regularly. Though I am a bit tired sometimes of the plot that an individual who has a problem will be the week guest and by a twist of fate would be help by Santino’s innocence. Now, for this week Lorna Tolentino and Gardo Versoza appeared again. This time with Andrea del Rosario in tow ( I have to google Viva Hot Babes member just to remember her name. lol! That’s how forgetful I am) because they figured out that the deceased Teresa might be Santino’s long lost mother. Now, I am thinking would this indicate that the show is nearing it’s end. Oh and for tonight’s episode finally the Mayor did something good. He allowed the body to be exhumed for the DNA testing. I am guessing that Teresa is the mistress of the Mayor that’s why she was accidentally killed by Malena and Santino is the Mayor’s son. Let’s wait for Malena’s action to do everything in her hands to make sure that truth won’t prevail.
