Quite frankly, i felt that this series should have ended earlier. I was still anticipating future episodes when Xin Yi was still in Shanghai. And Cun Xi was doing all sorts of things to get her back until he learn of the wrong doing of Ana. At that time I thought it was going to end.

But because of its popularity, I knew it would run some more weeks. This is so typical of Tdrama. Some Tdrama even reached 30+ episodes. And man, they are really draggy. Fortunately, FTLY did not run that long but there are episodes that you can skip and you feel that you haven’t missed a thing.

Although both lead roles are way past the teen age, there are still scenes that i felt that its a teeny booper drama. And despite of the rating I would say that its not the greatest drama for me. But if you wanted to watch something romantic you may want to watch it.

P.S. I can’t believe that Jiang Mu island is so remote and poor that they only have one ambulance.

The first part of Episode 24 shows the agony of a married women over the fact that she can’t be a mother. Adding to the pressure is the thought that he married an heir and the only person who can carry out the Ji generation. Despite being assured by his husband, of course a woman can only feel depressed. Not to mention that every people around her is are getting pregnant including Mary, her ex officemate and then her two older sister. The unmarried sister was impregnated by Anson.

Then one morning, Xin Yi got some stomach pain. She was rushed to the hospital and then Dr. Hao told Cun Xi and Grandma that Xin Yi is pregnant and that the hospital she went for a check up and who told her that she is sterile is a hospital that issues wrong medical results in order to gain some profit. And so to speak everybody is happy.

The episode ended with the three sisters in creek side and then all of a sudden all three felt the pain. No ambulance was at hand so they have to give birth right there and there. The END.

I was able to watch it until the time Xin Yi met Cun Xi in the church for the wedding, after that I already watched HOT SHOT. Since drama is so predictable already and on my opinion have been dragging. I think that they have extended the story to enjoy the higher rating.

There ending of its drama will be aired next week. And speaking of ending, while I was reading through a lot of articles on the net about the drama’s finale, I cannot help but think that FTLY ending seems to mock TKA’s ending in a way that FTLY picked up where TKA ended. Remember TKA ending wherein many are not satisfied because the viewers wanted more like XQ getting pregnant and all, FTLY have that. Don’t you agree?

I almost did not watch this one because of the lenghty synopsis I read from AZNV. Especially on the part the story begins with Xiao Shi day dreaming on her balcony, wishing for a successful love. In her dazed state, she accidentally knocks her mug over the edge, which then lands and bounces off the front of He Qun’s sportscar, when he happened to be driving past. This marks the beginning of their intertwined destinies.

I was thinking oh men this is another drama of a lousy lead actress. And I was right. lol! But the lousiness can be equate to being cute. I love Cyndi Wang here and she have a resemblance to Kristine Reyes, a Filipina Actress. This drama was given a 92% rating in AZNV. And the comments have made me watch this. And although it is sometimes corny I still can say if you wanted to watch something that would make you smile and giddy then watch it. The drama is full of the love hate relationship between two couple. Or I would say more on the hate part. haha!

There a plots that reminded me of Taiwanese drama that I watched. One is Magicians of Love and My Lucky Star wherein one of the lead have been a slapped an issue of plagiarism which resulted for their career to take a dip. And then the ending wherein Nicolas Teo is looking for Cyndi Wang and he was televised is similar to that of Ying Ye 3 Jia 1 where Ming Dao was on TV too.

I just had a feeling that dramas produced by the same television station have similarities. From Magicians to My Lucky Star to Smiling Pasta to Fated to Love You. But nonetheless, all are worth watching. For Smiling Pasta, I can never forget the song Nicolas Teo sang. The tune is one for my books.

Smiling Pasta’s story is a little similar to the Korean Drama Full house. Where Rain is an actor/singer and the girl was force to play the part as his fiancee. I think if you enjoyed Full house you might enjoy Smiling Pasta.

For English subs of Smiling Pasta you can go to AZNV if you have high speed internet connection or else you would be forever be buffering. For low speed I suggest you go to MYSOJU.

I am not sure why this drama did not became popular. It’s genre is the same as those popular Taiwanese Drama. It has drama, romance and comedy. The plot is the usual thing wherein rich boy fell in love with a poor girl. Not only a poor girl but one that was imprisoned because of illegal activity (she’s a con artist). lol. But don’t worry the crime is not that serious and she has done it for the love of a boyfriend who cheat on her. lol.

The lead actor is Jimmy Lin, an actor/singer/race car driver. That’s why the first scene will show his exploits in racing cars. The story is cute. The girl started as con artist (remember Lee Dae He’s character in My Girl) but later on help Jimmy Lin. They fell in love. But just like a typical drama’s there are torns along the way. The ending of this drama is similar to Magicians of Love (okay, is that a spoiler?). Oh and if you remember in one of Fated To love You’s episode wherein their is an auction and there was a mention of a jewelry being donated by the wife of Eshine. That’s them. And the engagement ring given to Sophie in Green Forest is the ring that Zhi Xing made. Aren’t they all connected ? lol.

All in all, if you want to watched a feel good movie I think this is one of them. Though, you would think how a Korean Actress and a Taiwanese Actor understand each other. haha!

Baron Chen is a newbie in the entertainment scene but Bianca Bai may look familiar because she played third wheel in the love story of Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin in IT STARTED WITH A KISS. Remember Hua Lan who became the fiancee of ZS. And made realized that ZS loves XQ ? Yeah, that’s her.

Okay, lets go back to FTLY. The first two parts are touching. Or should I say I like part 2 because it shows how an older brother did everything to bring back the confidence of her little sister. It was touching when Cun Xi is telling Anna who really did all those things. And then Anna running after Dylan. And it ended there. lol. The english subs of the other parts are still not available. I must say the one who doubled for Anna while doing ballet is a true ballerina.

It was exciting when Xin Yi would be meeting up with his Mr. Z (which is of course Cun Yi) but unfortunately the dinner was spoiled and they end up in the hospital. And so there is another misunderstanding. Really, because of high ratings the writers are coming up with some absurb scene like Anna coming after the cellphone. Oh well. I won’t say anything but if you wanted to watch the english subs you can go to OVERSTREAM.NET type in FATED TO LOVE YOU EP 20 in the search box and all episode 20 with english subtitles will be show or the head over to the FTLY BLOG.

Meanwhile, I am curious if the airing of HOTSHOTS have affected the ratings of Fated to Love you. The Jerry Yan + Show Luo + Wu Chun is a lethal combination. Show Luo is not that popular here in Philippines as compared to the two but he can be seen on the Rejoice Commercial currently aired here. I was searching for raw vids or with English subs and fortunately I found the first episode in Youtube. You can see the vids by searching BASKETBALL FIRE EP 1 in YOUTUBE. If you are interested for HOTSHOTS episodes with ENGLISH SUBTITLES, head over to the blog of INTANGIBLE FS. They are subbing it. The rights to air this drama here was bought already by ABS CBN. But I guess we would have to wait around Nov or Dec.

Okay, enough of that. Let’s talk about the current episode of FTLY.

Chen Xin Yi went back home to Taiwan. His master asked her to bring some goods to the Grandmother but unfortunately when she went to the Ji’s house (thinking that the grandmother was there and Cun Xi was not) she was suprised to see Cun Xi. And then the dog gave birth and Cun Xi asked her to help. Now because the dog is so important Cun Xi filmed the whole process of giving birth of the dog. Then Anna entered the picture. When Cun Xi and his grandmother watched the film, they were suprise to see the conversation between Anna and Xin Yi. The two did not know that Cun Xi put a camera there and everything was caught on tape. The conversation of Anna and Xin Yi suprised Cun Xi because he found out something. What did he find out ?
