The country is still rejoicing over the victory of Manny Pacquiao’s victory over Cotto. I did not watched the fight. haha. As I told the husband, I never watched it because I knew of the result already. There would be a winner and a loser. And I can wait for the result via twitter updates. haha. I also would rather look into the Free People product rather than look into two people pounding each others face. Don’t get me wrong. I salute Manny but I am not a big fan of boxing. That Sunday I was blogging while our tv is glued to Playhouse disney.
Archive for me thinks
I admit, I have seen the Baby Einstein videos and watched them. In fact, my little girl watched them for a couple of times. Not because I am hoping the videos would turn Anevay into a genius or something. Because that for me that is a ridiculous assumption! We all know that videos are only there to entertained and not to teach. As a parent, it is our responsibility to make sure that our kids are learning and they are learning the right way. So I was quite suprised that they are those who believed that Baby Einstein really would do wonders when it comes to their kids brain. Oh well.
The week after the wrath of Ondoy, you can see the eagerness of almost everybody to extend help where it is needed. At this point, I am glad that ABSCBN 2 and GMA 7 are not competing on ratings but on how much donations that they can come up. They were really active on giving out relief goods to those affected areas. And then a few days after, our president had a press statement. I just saw it on youtube and was a little bit irked when she asked that donation if possible be coursed through the authorized government agencies. C’mon we know how this agencies works, right? As an ordinary citizen I would rather trust my donation on private organization that put in on the hands of those I doubt.
Since the husband wanted our Palawan trip scheduled on January and not December, I think I can find an available date for us to watch the Disney On Ice in Araneta. I really wanted to see this show with the little girl because I know she’ll enjoy it. She’s a big fan of Mickey and the gang. I just have to talk to my husband if he wanted to watch with us. If not I’ll reserved two tickets for us and just let him go around the malls while we watch. Hopefully there are good seats available. I can’t wait to see the expression of the little girl when she watch.

I am reading some twitter messages and this one really caught my attention. Actually, I heard it in the news last night. And it made me cringed in horror. I know Willie Revillame has a lot of follower. He continues to help the ‘poor’ through his show. Though I really don’t agree with how the poor are being laugh at or joke about in the show. Now there is a circulating rumor that he is the running mate of Manny Villar. Could this be true? Well, the rumor started because I think Willie R has been consulting Manny Villar on his investments since Willie is building his own mall and then a condo, which is Manny Villar sort of profession, right? Oh well, let’s wait for the official announcement.
When Mar Roxas run for the senate as Mr. Palengke I like him. But did not vote for him because I was not a registered voter back then. lol. But when he started those commercials with the ‘padyak’ thing, I was actually turned off. Though I still think that he is one of the presidential hopefuls who is worth looking into I felt that the commercial was a bit over. And then there was there ‘act’ in Wowowee. Where in they have a sit down interview with Willie when before that I remember watching the Buzz wherein Kris Aquino announced during the program that Mar and Korina promised her that the couple would give her their first sit down interview. I assumed that they wanted something bigger than the buzz with more of the ‘masa’ type so they forgot about their promise and choose Willie.
The naming of Carlo J. Caparas as a National Artist have created quite a stir. It’s been dragging for so long now and the recent news is that it is now in the Supreme Court. I think two days ago I heard that Carlo Caparas was complaining about his page in Wikipedia (though I am not sure about this because I was watching the news from a far). According to him, since the page in wiki can be edited by anybody, some people tried changing the titles of his movie into funny ones. I haven’t seen the edited version since I did not check the page at the time I heard the news.
Today the whole Philippines commemorates Ninoy Aquino day. The day a good man was gunned down in the tarmac of NAIA. We are on a holiday but many have been driving to places where there are celebration to show that what the Aquino couple did would never be forgotten. I am still touch every time I see tons and tons of people wearing yellow. No one commanded them to do it. They just wear yellow by choice because they are one with the nation. I just hope this kind of attitude will boil down into making sure we have a successful election in 2010. Not only election but also choosing the right candidate.
I am chatting with my husband now. It’s already late and I am still not sleep and I am also trying to finish some online jobs that have been pending.. While chatting he told me the songs that are currently hit on Kuwait. And then he told me that he likes the song Tshirt by Shontelle. He asked me to listen to it through youtube but I told him as if I have time. But he insisted telling me that the song reminds him of me. Of course that got me curious. I not only search for the video in youtube I also look for its lyrics. And what have you, this might be my theme song! hahaha.
