Medical Drama

The truth is I really wanted to watch medical dramas like Grey Anatomy but unfortunately every time I attempt to watch them I always end up scaring myself. So, I decided for my peace of mind I would just avoid watching those series. You know, it’s okay for me to see medical step stool and other medical equipment but when I watched some scenario over the television that involves diseases and death I can’t help but be worried with my condition. I know each one of us has different fate but because of my sickness I cannot help but paranoid. I hope that someday I can watch medical drama without because scared as if I am watching a horror movie.

Final Season

I have stopped watching Fringe midway its third season. I don’t know, I just don’t want where the story is heading. Maybe because they put some twist in the affair of the heart of the main character. But even if I dropped the series I am still subscribed to the twitter account of Fringe. And I am now intrigued because of the different messages that I read. Also, I think the series will be airing it’s final season next season. Well, I think I would be watching the season 3 and 4 :) because I am intrigued.

Rockstar

A friend posted pictures of her daughter wearing a rockstar outfit complete with a guitar that looks like an ESP. According to her, her daughter started wearing the outfit after watching the movie Rockstar. I guess that really shows how media especially television influenced kids. My daughter have been asking her Dad to teach her to play guitar because of the program that she keeps on watching. Now, the Daddy is asking me to look for lessons for her. Oh yeah, it always end up on me. lol. So now I have to search for one.

Farmaggedon

The husband was telling me about this film. They were looking for a copy of it and I asked why. He told me this is a documentary about how farmers were harassed so as not to produce locally produced veggies. Here is the synopsis of the docu based on my research.

There is a lot going on in “Farmageddon,” Kristin Canty’s anxiety-laden documentary about government oversight of our farming and food production. Part consumer-rights advocacy, part abuse-of-power exposé, the film dances between the two as if uncertain where to settle. But though neither thread is as fully developed as we might want, Ms. Canty’s main concern — that agribusiness is employing government agencies to harass small, independent farmers — comes through loud and clear. nytimes.com

Becoming Famous

I have a twitter account but I don’t used is often. Most of the time I just used it to communicate with some of my online contacts. I don’t follow any celebrity, I just follow some news organization to keep me up to date. But if a celebrity interest me, I read his/her tweets without following her. Lately, a lot of celebrities have been on the news because of the way they tweet. There are times when they used twitter to express their angst on someone or an incident. There are times when I cringed when I read account holders bashing each other as if they are fighting over which indoor water fountains brand is the best. I just don’t get it. What is it with twitter that people used as a way to praise or destroy other people. I do hope social networking will be used a good tool which everybody will benefit.

The Red Castle (Kehas See Daeng)

I decided to watch this series despite the fact that I don’t like the poster of the characters. It seems to me that there get up is so 70ish. And I was surprised that indeed the series is a drama from when back when :) It so refreshing to see old houses and old dresses. The house in Thailand at that time the series was made are open spaces. Oh how I love to have that kind of house. But then that’s not applicable anymore in our time. What’s with the climate change and the pollution that surrounds us. But anyway, the drama is super sweet one. It is not that complicated and got a feel good scenes. I like it. It brings back memory of how simple it was back in the days of my parents.

Dream High

There was a time that I was able to watch local program and in between there was an advertisement about the new Korean novela that was going to be aired. It’s entitled Dream High and I was intrigued by its story. Since I was looking for something to entertain me I decided to watch it online. I am so happy that the site and my connection cooperated. I thought I have to download parts of it and also download vlc player to play those parts. I guess at that time I am watching my DSL speed is at its finest. And what can I say, Dream High is an entertaining drama. I think it’s like Glee but a bit different. There are students from a certain school that has a high rate of making their music student successful. Its kids has an interesting past and intriguing future.

More to Inspire

A friend of mine send me a message to try to watch Gerson Miracle and Beautiful Mind. According to her, this movies are about people with sickness and the technique they used to overcome it. And I think this will give me another boost to continue what I am doing right now which is consuming lots of greens by juicing them. I adopted this style after watching Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. Now I am second month and am still amazed on the improvement I have made.

They Bought A Zoo

I don’t know from where but I learned that Matt D have a movie that I haven’t watched and this one is family oriented. No, there are no personalized baby blankets involved because he is a widower with teens on his side. As a family they bought a house and lot that has a zoo on the back. The movie evolved in keeping the zoo. I saw the pictures of Matt D in the movie and I am not so used to the thought of him as a haggard father. lol! So I am waiting for some time to watch it. But according to reviews it’s a heartwarming movie.

Catching up On my Series

Yesterday, the husband went back to the country where he works. To tame down the sadness that I am having I started watching three of my favorite series. I am behind three episode on each and was glad that I was able to get a copy. As always the episodes of Criminal Minds, CSI and The Mentalist makes me think. And I am really thankful that somehow I was able to forget my woes and concentrate on figuring out the outcome of the story. Then today while my daughter was playing on the computer, I watched the local channel. I love the song that Kat Bernardo sang in ASAP that I searched for it. Turned out it’s a Taylor Swift song entitled Ours :) I am going to download it and put it on my IPOD.
