I admit, I have seen the Baby Einstein videos and watched them. In fact, my little girl watched them for a couple of times. Not because I am hoping the videos would turn Anevay into a genius or something. Because that for me that is a ridiculous assumption! We all know that videos are only there to entertained and not to teach. As a parent, it is our responsibility to make sure that our kids are learning and they are learning the right way. So I was quite suprised that they are those who believed that Baby Einstein really would do wonders when it comes to their kids brain. Oh well.

I do. For days, a couple of weeks back, I have experienced the worst toothache. I don’t really know exactly what happen or what cause it but one thing I am sure. I need to go to a dentist and have it checked. It’s been two years since I have my last appointment with a dentist and I know seeing one is long overdue. But things have gotten busy and it’s only now that I have time. And I am planning on seeing another dentist who clinic is near our house. If only the Stamford Dentist clinic just nearby I am definitely booked an appointment with them. Their website, thesteindentalgroup.com, is very welcoming, which makes me look forward in seeing their clinic. It would definitely be friendly look too! But what I love most is their 24-hr. emergency service/15-minute response and early morning, evening and Saturday appointments. Something that not all dental clinics offer.
Almost everybody is talking about it. And all are looking for the Nov 20 showing. Well, honestly, this time I don’t really care. haha! Maybe I was a bit disappointed with the first movie. And as I said in my previous post, the second book was my least favorite book because of the character of Jacob. Yeah, yeah, I know. And before you toast on a hate cap on me just remember different strokes for different folks, okay?
But I have to wait for the DVD copy. Who knows I might end up collecting the original copy because I just want to. haha. This also reminds me that I have not yet watched the latest HP movie. ohoh!
I have to look into dental implants Plano but the tv right now is tuned in to some local program and they are interviewing Manny Pacquiao about his upcoming fight versus Miguel Cotto. Manny has been training in Baguio before this and with all the videos that they are showing on the news seems like he really is ready for the fight. I hope he wins again.
For those of you who wanted to watch the fight on online streaming, you can go visit the HBO site @ http://www.hbo.com/boxing/events/2009/1114_pacquiao_cotto/index.html. The fight is scheduled on November 14, 2009 9PM ET/6PM PT and here in the Philippines morning of Nov 15.
The week after the wrath of Ondoy, you can see the eagerness of almost everybody to extend help where it is needed. At this point, I am glad that ABSCBN 2 and GMA 7 are not competing on ratings but on how much donations that they can come up. They were really active on giving out relief goods to those affected areas. And then a few days after, our president had a press statement. I just saw it on youtube and was a little bit irked when she asked that donation if possible be coursed through the authorized government agencies. C’mon we know how this agencies works, right? As an ordinary citizen I would rather trust my donation on private organization that put in on the hands of those I doubt.
Was watching tv today and saw a teaser for THIS IS IT! I readily stopped my search for mortgage protection life insurance for a while to look into the trailer of the movie. And I found this on youtube.

Since the husband wanted our Palawan trip scheduled on January and not December, I think I can find an available date for us to watch the Disney On Ice in Araneta. I really wanted to see this show with the little girl because I know she’ll enjoy it. She’s a big fan of Mickey and the gang. I just have to talk to my husband if he wanted to watch with us. If not I’ll reserved two tickets for us and just let him go around the malls while we watch. Hopefully there are good seats available. I can’t wait to see the expression of the little girl when she watch.
This week, the favorite topic among us pre school moms is where to send our toddlers when they are ready for big school. Fortunately for us we have good schools nearby and all we have to do is to choose where to enroll our kids. On my part, I think I might be enrolling Anevay in an all girl school near our house. But one mom have plans of sending his son to a much farther school where she plans to take on an employment. See, if you an employee on that school you will be given a 50% discount on the tuition fee. And their tuition is no joke! I wanted to do the same but I think I still need to have a master before I can even think of applying there. But the question is, when can I have time to study. And then I realized maybe I can study Masters in organizational development at gonzagaonline.com as a start. I know the course is for future leaders but as most close friends say wherever I am I am a leader. haha. Anyway, I think this course is good for those who aspire to become leaders like in politics or if you plan to climb the corporate ladder.
I was talking to a friend last week about how hard it was to be working here in our country. How prices go up while their salaries stay the same. I understand her sentiments because I was an employee once. I know how that even though your salary is higher than the ordinary one you will still end up making both ends meet because of price hike. And I do believe that when your salary goes up and so are your expenses and bills. This is the reason why the husband left the country for work. When he was offered a job that pays almost six times of what he was received locally, he grab it despite the fact that he would be far from us most of the time. It is a sacrifice that both of us has to endure for a brighter future for our family. Now, I am being melodramatic. Okay, back to my friend. She was actually complaining about the problems they are encountering on their Car Allowance. They have a hard time processing the reimbursements and that it takes a lot of weeks before the funds are released. Creating some problems with the employee. I was telling my friend, maybe their company should used a third party like crsinc.com to handle their vehicle reimbursement program. That way the processing of reimbursement would not only be cost saving but also effective and less chaotic.
The other day while I was busy blogging I read a twit that goes like this ‘Kimura Takuya overshadowed Josh Harnett’. I was a bit intrigued so I read the article. Seems like the two have a movie together. And I did not know that! haha. That’s how out of the loop I am, right now. I search about it and stumble upon this picture…

I just love KimuTaku! Here’s the video of the Red Carpet but it’s unsubbed! Look at the hair. lol.
