Ever since my husband left the country to work, we have been constantly talking on to how to go about our future. No, we are not talking about the five years from now thing but rather we are looking at a long term plan. Let’s say when we reach the age when our kids are off to college and then started working and earning on their own. The husband always tells me in the end it would again be only me and him. We would go back to where we started.
It may sound sweet like it’s you and me against the world but if we don’t put in the right plans now that sweetness would turn into misery and leave us on the care of our kid/s. Don’t get me wrong. I would have love to be taken care of my kid/s when I grow old but the husband and I believe that it’s our job to take care of the kids but not the other way around. Our kid/s is not obliged to tend to us when we grow old. So with that in mind we are really taking our retirement seriously. Even if that is still in the far future.
That’s why right now even if we already have an existing insurance we are also scouting for best packages that can be offered for retirement.
