I was already preparing myself to a heartbreak because of how the story is unfolding but as I watch the episode I still kept my fingers crossed that somehow the ending won’t be as bad as I expected it to be.

And now here I am contemplating if I am going to write about how the drama ended or just write what I felt when I was watching it. I have decided to do the later since I don’t really like giving out spoilers nor having to read spoilers per se.

Now as the start of the drama I look into how long it will last. 1:14. I was convincing myself that the time is good enough to give out the audience a run for their money. The scene that I like the most here is Can appearance at the basketball court while the PiLi 4 and Ji Er were practicing. I felt so good inside as if Can and DFX are lovers and find their way back to each other’s arm. lol. The episode has a lot of basketball, of course its all about the game. Da Ying was practicing with W while DFX with the team and Ji Er. DFX have a one on one game with Can and later with a two to one game between Can and Ji ER. Which left DFX battered.

Now its game time! Tian Wu vs PiLi. The team is walking with W and Ji Er leading them. Then Can appeared wearing the PiLi jersey. They finally found a sixth man after 15 episodes. lol. I was thinking Michael Zhang’s role Can is much better that the role of Wu Chun as Wu Ji Zun. And the games started. This is one of the games in the series that I was satisfied. Seems like the teams are equally matched wherein you won’t see the other team trailing behind by a large margin. There is so much airtime and a lot of clashing in the air.

While watching the game I was also aware of the time in the video. haha. With only 20+ minutes in the drama its still on the basketball game. I was telling myself oh man it will end on the basketball court. And indeed I was right, much to my dissapointment. It was like hey, is that all? Okay, I won’t say much about the ending just watch it in AsianDramas.com.

When I first read about HOT Shot I was so excited. Who wouldn’t be? It’s a drama that has Jerry Yan, Show Luo and Wu Chun. Honestly, I am looking forward to it because of Wu Chun. As I watched the first episode I realized that Jerry Yan is not as bad as I expected. I know there are a lot of Jerry Yan fans out there reading this but I am just being honest. He really does not left a good impression on me eversince their Meteor Garden hit the Philippines some years back. I even remembered him coming over in our country but I got turn off because he can’t speak English. But Hot Shot has redeemed him from that impression. I realized how gorgeous the man is and how he really improved when it comes to acting ( I even watched THE HOSPITAL). Before, if you asked me anytime of the day, I would definitely choose Vic Zhou over him but now I have changed my mind. It was not only Jerry that have given a good impression in Hot Shot, I also started to like Show Luo. Before I really don’t like him because of Corner With Love but now I found him hilarous. He really is a good actor as well as comedienne. Then there’s Michael Zhang. Though his role is short and not much publicized but his role is one of the roles I like. On the downside, the role of Wu Chun is something that is very disappointing. No wonder when the drama is starting there was a write up wherein no one wants to take the role of Wu Ji Zun. As for the two female lead, Tracy really needs some more practice. She fails to go head to head with Jerry’s acting.

Anwyay, the curtain has gone down to another drama. I don’t regret waiting for it on a weekly basis because through hot shot I meet a lot of drama addicts online (hahaha!) who have different views which makes writing about the weekly episodes exciting. Though Taiwanese dramas are starting to give me the impressions of not so good ending I would still be tuning on the ArJoe drama that would replace HOTSHOT — Love or Bread. I hope its even half as good as It Started with A kiss.

    hanj,

i was prepared for the ending. hahaha. i knew it would be bad just as bad as the ending of tka, in fact tka’s ending is much better i guess. they were produced by the same station right?

that only positive side to the drama are the three idols.

    jovita,

your guess is as good as mine. i think just like in tka they wanted to make their audience guess and write their own ending for the drama. this reminds me also of a kdrama iljimae.

I’m trying my best not to spoil it for myself-too late. Everyones talking about it. Lol on D-addicts, Crunchy, Youtube you name it, people either love it or hate it. I guess it’s always about the ending when it comes to deciding whether the drama was worth the watch.

Dunno why, but, i’ve decided to take it slow with this drama. lol guess where i’m at Milet, *drum roll please* …
ep 12!! And boy am I glad that I carried on with it, lol i’ve gotta say, the drama picked up pace for me after ep 10 (no guesses as to why!) lol that’s right, coz it was all about Show! I know what people mean now when they said that they very much preferred to watch the interaction between Da Ying and DFX rather than the pathetic love epic going on with Jie ER.

You probably don’t want to hear this all over again-but you’re going to have to excuse my rantings for this drama lol coz I was late tuning in! But anyways, ep 10, the part when Da Ying comes in to save Qiu Kui-how cool was that!!!? And though I hated Can for injuring Da Ying like crazy in ep 11, the guy’s character is still great to watch! The plot itself is getting a little eccentric, but i’m willing to suspend disbelief seen as though i’m well aware that it’s based on manga.

One thing i’m really glad about is that the drama isn’t all about DFX after all, i’m glad the focus went back on YDY, esp now that i’m starting to get the full picture as to what his grandmother was all about and his connection with DFX family etc.

haha, i think the hot shot fever is dying down already. it might go down the history as one of the drama which was able to put three idols together but when it comes to the story..oh well never mind. this also applies to the lead actress. lol.

i agree, michael zhang’s role here as can is something worth watching. not well publicized but when it ended i told myself i like his character.

I couldn’t agree with you even more! “one of the drama which was able to put three idols together but when it comes to the story..oh well never mind. this also applies to the lead actress.” Hear, hear lol. Jie Er’s character really did get to me after a little while, they should have just made the drama into a buddy flick-there really wasn’t any need for this lovey dovey side plot!! It kinda weakened the whole premise of the drama in my opinion! X

p.s. Can’s role is deffo worth talking about! The guy was pretty damn interesting.

damn! I, too, hated the ending. I felt sad about it. To think that I crazily looked for the video links and watched them without the English subs! Then what the?!?! Aargh!
Ok, so the writer wanted the ending to be talked about!

oh my… if not for Jerry Yan and Show Luo, i will totally say that i wasted my time.

Oh by the way, I liked Can’s role too. Very Interesting! I watched him in Basketball Tribe (as Michael) with Roy Chiu. Basketball Tribe had better ending :D . Only that Hot Shot got better & funny stunts. They should have gotten Roy Chiu here too! hahaha. I’m am no admirer of Wu Chun. nuf said!

    hi,

i think your question about W dying has left all of us in confusion. there are some who thinks she died and there are those who think she doesn’t. this is one of the factors why many were irritated about the finale of hotshot.
