Last night in an exclusive report of ABS CBN they reported that there is a firm that tested some products and have found out that these products are positive of MELAMINE. Unfortunately the firm did not let the names of the brand be reported since they are protecting the privacy of the clients who send the said products for testing. According to the report among the eight products is a creamer for a popular coffee shop, a popular candy bar, luncheon meat and milk powder for pregnant women.
Today, the firm still does not want to release the names of the products. And to top that Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque does not want to acknowledge the testing done because the firm according to them is not accredited by BFAD. But he changed his position when the reporter asked him if he won’t even consider looking at the list when the one on the line is public safety.
C’mon isn’t it ridiculous when you have that kind of report and you would just disregard it because the firm is not accredited. I find that absurd. Oh well, it’s the Philippine Government what would you expect.
