Hot Shot Episode 10

Posted September 29th @ 10:26 am by mil3tt3

I’ll just give you these week’s episode highlights :

Episode 10 started off with YDY staring dreamily at Ji Er in class

What is he dreaming about ?

On the other hand, Xiang is still uneasy with Can’s appearance resulting to his lack of confidence.

Then, W and W’s ex-fiance met for dinner not to rekindle their love but to intimidate each other.

Next day, after the meeting of Pili’s basketball team, Ji Er who is just outside (after the conversation with Da Ying) received a text from Xiang which is intended for Qui Kui. So the revelation begins.

Worried face of Ji Er aka Qui Kui

Xiang wants to have a basketball game with Qui Kui. During the game, Xiang keep picturing Qui Kui as Can so he was not focus. Before she left, Qui Kui lovingly gaze on the troubled Xiang.

Then Qui Kui challenge Can but with Qui Kui being a girl and Can’s playing aggresively using those bar in his foot makes it more difficult for Qui Kui to go on playing. In one of the collisions of the two, blood start trickling down Qui Kui’s throat. As if this was not enough, Can wanted to finish her off by using this…

Good thing, Da Ying was just right on time to send his bike flying to prevent Can from doing such murderous act. lol. Then the sirens roar. The spectators went running. Can left and then Qui Kui collapsed. Da Ying rushed to her and their he found out her true identity.

Da Ying remember all the times when Qui Kui appears. Then rushed her to the hospital where he stayed overnight. That made him miss their practice arousing suspicion within W and Xiang. Especially when Xiang tried calling Ji Er’s number but was not able to go through.

On the hospital, Da Ying of course has to ask Ji Er why she choose to be the masked wild ball player. And then Ji Er started to narrate. And do you know who trained her ? It’s Anson of the FTLY fame. lol.

The narration have send the message to Da Ying that he loss this time to Xiang in the game of love.

Next scene shows Xiang shooting hoops while its raining. He misses most of his shots and seem troubled ( Can still bugging his mind, Ji Er not picking up his call and Da ying’s absence on their practice). Seems like he is about to burst because of jealousy. lol.

Out of desperation, Xiang dialled Da ying’s number and though broken hearted Da Ying pick up his phone and said something to Xiang and then hung up. I guess Da Ying is admitting defeat. Who wouldn’t be ? The girl of your dreams willingly put in a mask to hide her identity just to play side by side with her master. If that’s not love then I don’t know what to call it.

As I said, these are just the highlights. For a precise recap, head over to iurgnotmis’ blog.

For raw videos of this episode, you can check YOUTUBE or ASIAN-DRAMAS.

SIDE NOTE : If I am going to put a title for this episode then the phrase ‘CRAZY THING YOU DO FOR LOVE’ would aptly apply to it. lol.

So now that Qui Kui’s identity is revealed, then i think the future episode would uncover who the Wu brother’s really are. And I am assuming that Ji Er’s request to keep her identity as Qui Kui a secret will create problems in the future between her, DFX and YDY with DFX natural tendency to get jealous and YDY natural reaction to protect Qui Kui knowing it is Ji Er. Oh well, let see.

    Hey Milet

See, I always come back for more knowing that it’s gonna spoil it for me-yep, which means i’m still waiting for subs (I havn’t watched past ep 5!) lol. But i’m kinda glad that the story’s moving forward-judging by your reviews, you seem to be liking these later eps! Ha, I knew it, lol Jie Er is Qui Kui, i’m kinda glad that it turned out to be her, I don’t think I could deal with more characters coming in! Thanks for the lates update, peace out ^_____^

    hi shaz,

the english subs are taking so long so I am just contend on watching the raws and reading the recaps. i am glad that the drama is not that complicated that I can watch and understand what is happening even if i don’t understand mandarin. the drama should move forward since if there press released is true there would only be three more episodes left. but i doubt it.

thanks for always checking my blog.

    have a nice day.

    Hey girl!

true, they havn’t made the plot overly complicated, I could watch it raw, lol but I find that i’m just too lazy and far too dependent on subs that I have to know whats going on word for word. Anyways, hope all is good and well down your end. As always, will be looking forward to reviews on tomorrows ep!

p.s. i’ve been meaning to drop by a leave a comment about another drama i’ve been tuning into. lol I don’t think you liked it very much though!

Yeh I noticed, you’re really into your thai dramas at the mo. I’d like to think that i’ve run out of things to watch as well, but i’m pretty selective when it comes to dramas, so theres still loads out there which i’ve never even attempted to watch, simply because they don’t appeal to me-dramas like Tokyo Juliet, Long Vacation, Waterboys, Change, Kimi wa Petto lol and the list goes on!

Love around the corner was one of those which just didn’t appeal (was never really a Barbie fan-i’ve only enjoyed her work in Mars, one of my fave taiwanese dramas). BUT having now seen Alan (Show) Luo strut his stuff in Hot Shot, I was really curious to see what his acting was like in other dramas. So I kinda dedicated the weekend gone to watching Love Around the Corner-and I was surpised at how much I enjoyed it! Show Luo’s acting rocks (hands down), I think it was more to do with his character rather than Barbies that really got me into the series. Though I think Barbie was also at her best in this drama, in any case she didn’t annoy me as much as she did in Meteor Garden. They really had great chemistry together, definitely a pair I’d root for if they decided to work together again! Anyways theres my ranting done-i’m off to check out your review on hot shot.

    Peace out

    @shaz,

dont ever dare watch tokyo juliet. haha. lol. just kidding. to me tokyo juliet was a big disappointment. i like both wu chun and ariel lin but for this drama oh well. they did not even used wu chun’s voice.

as for change, i don’t really know why it has high rating on aznv. but i guess people have different taste. it has sweet moments but i don’t really know why it did not really appeal to me.

agree with you with barbie. i only like her on mars. and that’s the reason why i choose to watch love around the corner. but unfortunately after two or three episodes i quit. maybe because at that time i really don’t like show. but now that you are saying that you enjoy it i think i am going to reconsider watching it during the weekend. who knows i’ll also enjoy it. and i read somewhere that there is a sequel to this drama though it is not yet confirmed.

ps. try watching thai dramas. they are also enjoyable believe me. i was also hesitant at first but now I am hooked. if you wanted to watch a good one try watching this drama. King Kae Kar Fark

    Hey Milet

Guess what!?? Lol i’ve been tuning into Show Luo- everything from dramas, to music to his hosting shows, you name it.. is this what they call ‘fangirling’!!? lol it’s probably just a phase (ha, at my age) but damn the guy can sing and DANCE! And to think I found him unappealing as a male lead in dramas (hence delaying watching CWL).

As shallow as this may sound, I have to be familiar with the character when watching idol dramas-the main leads must click, must be good on the eyes and they must know how to act!

“dont ever dare watch tokyo juliet”-uh oh. Lol as for Tokyo Juliet, unfortunately I started watching the first few eps (no more than that), Chun absolutely killed it for me! I checked it out after watching Chun in Hana Kimi and Ariel in ISWAK. I guess it wasn’t the characters fault-the drama (script) itself was pretty awful.

I started watching the Thai lakorn you recommended, I was pretty much hooked (with the 1st ep). lol so I decided to carry on watching it only when i’ve got a break from school!

    Hope you’re chillin. Peace out

    Shaz,

hahaha. i think hot shot have given show luo a big break. just like you i have been noticing his acting he really can act and he is getting prettier for me. hahaha. i think you just on that stage of fangirling that may or may not last depending on the break given to show luo. hahaha. agree with tokyo juliet.

as for the thai drama, i hope you enjoy it. have you noticed the physical resemblance as well as the acting of the lead actress (pat napapa) to ariel lin ? i don’t know if its just me but as i watched the drama i can see a little xiang qin on kaew. haha. oh well.

    have a great day

    Milet,

“have you noticed the physical resemblance as well as the acting of the lead actress (pat napapa) to ariel lin ? i don’t know if its just me but as i watched the drama i can see a little xiang qin on kaew.” omg you’re soo right, she has that kinda dumb sassy thing going on!

haha true @ the BIG break, maan Hot Shot seems to be giving that big break to everyone-Jerry inc. I was kinda hoping Chunnie would have more of a role as well, even if he is in the background most of the time-I mean the Pi Li team mates have more going on! As for Show, though I love the character of Da Ying-Hot Shot merely showed how versatile of an actor he is, mind you his character is not that far fetched from his reality entertainment personality! But I think his role in CWL really did it for me, man the dude can cry. His acting skills have improved alot in Hot Shot, but I reckon his role in CWL is equally commendable-I’m really looking forward to CWL2 (if they decide on one that is).

    Peace out X

    shaz,

i’m sensing a fan girl on the loose. hahaha. just kidding. i’m also hoping for wu chun to have a much better role in the upcoming episode than just a wall paper. lol. i just hope the 13th episode will be his.

have you watched the videos of ep 12? show shines there but with blood. haha.

    have a great week.

Haha-lol you’re right, i’m seriously in fangirl mode at the moment, it’s not healthy (i’m cringing at myself)!! BUT you have to check this out http://www.veoh.com/videos/v15195107cRj2ANFE?rank=52&jsonParams=%7B%22numResults%22%3A20%2C%22rlmin%22%3A0%2C%22query%22%3A%22show+luo%22%2C%22rlmax%22%3Anull%2C%22veohOnly%22%3Atrue%2C%22order%22%3A%22default%22%2C%22range%22%3A%22a%22%2C%22sId%22%3A%227418818725876031488%22%2C%22offset%22%3A40%7D&searchId=7418818725876031488&rank=53
lol you’re gonna regret having me as an online buddy now, coz I’m forever gonna be ranting about my obsession.

Lol@ Chun being more than just a ‘wallpaper’, it does appear that way doesn’t it. I’m not so bothered now, because it is sort of coming to a close, and lets face it, it’s been about DFX and Da Ying since ep 1. hehe yep I heard a lot of people ranting about how Da Ying took the spotlight in this ep. Though I see many people had a lot to say about the streak of blood, lol at how it wasn’t due to brotherly affection but out of his love for Ji Er- which like many people doesn’t make much sense to me. Peace out X

p.s. i’m at home with the flu, so i’m off work at the mo-expect to see me hanging round more often hehe.

    shaz,

it took me awhile to reply since i am also under the weather. hope your are feeling better now. i love the video also. swwoooonnnn! hahaha. man, i wonder why they call him one night superstar. i remember reading a write up about show luo that said that. have you seen his mcdo commercial. he is dancing with rainie yang. you gotta see tha commercial.

and so i thought i was the only one concerned about wu chun. hahah.

take good care of yourself and drink alot of vitamin c.

Oh no, not you as well! Damn it must be the weather, I’m not sure what it’s like where you live, but it’s getting extremely cold down my end. I’m literally drowning myself with lemsip and other random anti-biotics. I’ve had this cold for almost a week now! :( Yep, plenty of vitamin C!
Hehe, it still doesn’t stop me from my daily dosage of Asian dramas though! Hope you’re feeling much better.

I was thinking of starting on Miss No Good, but something tells me you wern’t to overly impressed with it!? lol I havn’t read your full review on it yet. I’ll check it out, then decide whether or not to start on the drama. To be honest I’m not much of a Rainie fan, I was only able to withstand her in Devil Beside You, Meteor Garden just wasn’t my cup of tea and WWL was utter rubbish! X

“swwoooonnnn!” lol that was exactly my reaction when I first saw the vid! I can’t believe the guys 29! I’ve heard some real interesting news though. I heard he’s going to be co-starring with Charlene Choi in a HK production. It’s been time since I’ve watched a Chinese movie, so that should be a good one to look out for.

You’ve been passing the bug around havn’t you!?

lol hmmm well I didn’t manage to finish a single drama, nor did I manage to start on one (Miss No Good). My hopes of ever getting to watch another subbed ep of Hot Shot have long been dashed. Soooo I am now currently on a break from dramas (so it would appear). O oh, but now that i’ve paid a visit to your blog, all I can see is signs leading me towards watching Miss No Good. I think I shall give it a try tonight! hehe, peace out.

Lol the reason as to why I was so shocked is because even though (age wise) he’s very close to Jerry Yan, their mature outlook is very different. lol ok this is gonna need som explaining, coz i’m not sure whether u’l get what I mean. Maybe it’s because Jerry Yan has been in the business of acting longer, so one was able to see him mature- but for me Jerry’s ‘hotness’ is all down to his age, because to be bluntly honest, he really didn’t do it for me in his earlier series. Let me put it this way, he’s the type thats gonna get ‘fitter’ with age, kinda like your Clooney/Kimu Taku hunks etc. His hot image can be defined as hunk(y), handsome or hell even devilishly fine looking lol.

Whereas Show for me is kinda like your ‘boy next door’ very ‘boyishly’ cute, attractive and personable.

lol is there even a bloody difference!!? What on earth am I chatting about!? There goes my ranting! X

    shaz,

nah, she was the one passing the bug. hahaha. but she is well now. but i am coughing like a mad dog while typing this. haha. i am also on break from watching dramas since I can’t find any drama that is worth finishing. but i got a dose of hot shot and miss no good weekly. it gives me a balance of things. handsome guys and not so pretty and irritating girl. hahaha.

i am currently going back to my original addiction — books. and unfortunately now that I wanted to read the twilight saga all bookstore here in our country are out of stock. lucky me.

“I am currently going back to my original addiction — books”-I should think of doing that! I have far too many books on the shelf that I havn’t even touched. I have to stop myself from buying more books, because I know I won’t find the time to read them. Twilight Saga sounds like a good read, just checked out reviews on Amazon. I am/was reading Life of Pi and City of Djinns, I have a tendency to read the book halfway then switch to another book! How bad is that.

Lol I just thought of something completely random. I was in town the other week, I dropped into Waterstones (bookstore) and I was soo excited when I saw an entire shelf dedicated to Shojo manga-I was literally like “they have Japanese books in store-woo hoo”. Hehe, I actually stood there laughing like an idiot just because I recognised some of the more popular titles which have been turned into live-action drama.

    shaz,

i was laughing when I read your comment. haha. i too was excited when I saw a store that sells manga. i was grinning like an idiot while browsing the store especially if i see something familiar.

the twilight saga is sweeping our country in storm. especially now that it was turned into a movie and will be shown in a couple of weeks. girl, you have to finish those books. i cannot even sleep if I know I have an unfinished book. the same in drama. hahaha.

Lol i’m on it- I have a goal, and that is to finish reading all the books i’m currently reading by the end of 2008. hehe some goal. Twilight Saga is being turned into a movie!? That’s news to me, it does sound interesting. Hopefully they’ve cast some familiar faces.

you’ll never guess what i’ve been reading the past week or so…’A quick guide to learning Japanese’!
