I guess I was wrong about my first impression of this episode. Last night I was able to catch a glimpse of it in our tv but decided to put it off since I thought it was not a good epi. I was late tuning in, i think the epi is already half way finished when I saw it.
But today, I was able to catch the first part and man was I delighted. I was telling myself that the drama was going on a downhill but for this week I think it showed something that many of us are waiting. The DFX confession. lol!
The show started off with Da Ying thinking out while staring at Ji Er. If I remember it right, I read somewhere that Da Ying at that time was contemplating on her feelings on Ji Er plus the fact that he won’t give up his feelings for her. He was with the other three players when the girl came in again and lend Da Ying a money which he will use for something to please Ji Er.
ME THINKS : I just love their benches on their office. I think Adidas is one of their major sponsor since all the sports wear of Jerry Yan plus the chairs have the Adidas logo. And would the girl on the scene above would play an important role in the future ?
Moving forward to the scene between Ji Er and DFX. This is the time that DFX have confessed his feelings to Ji Er.
I am loss as to what DFX was telling the suprised Ji Er but thanks to the comments in YOUTUBE, someone translated the dialogue. lol. Seems like DFX have been telling Ji Er all the things that he had done in the past because he likes her. Enter Da Ying. lol. Why does he always came at the wrong time?
Looks like Ji Er was not yet ready for the confession so she run away from DFX while Da Ying was there.
Ji Er closed her door while Da Ying keep on knocking. Ji Er did not open it rather she called Da Ying and she said sorry. Da Ying was left broken hearted.
Then the DFX – Ji Er scene again. Now, she is coming outside the door with one bag on her back and another one on his hand.
Here is the translation from the comments in YOUTUBE by peachyken.

Urgh! Poor DFX!
Both guys are now heartbroken. On the other side, W’s father was telling a story to W. There was a flashback. Forgive me but I don’t understand this part. lol. But my guess is it has something to do with Da Ying’s grandmother (?). Want to know what is the story that W’s father told ? Check out brickwall’s recap.
Since both heartbroken guys loves to play ball they went on a one on one game then W came rushing. Then she nearly fainted and was rush to the hospital.
Someone will be coming over to train the five guys. And three guys were to fetched him from the airport. I am loving this triplets. haha!
The training has started. They jog around while having water container on their back. Then the five players were instructed to stand up on a board with springs under it. The four guys are doing everything possible to keep from falling but the mighty DFX just stood straight face being able to balance gracefully. Meaning, he really is a trained player.
The trainor made the training a little bit more difficult by throwing water on the five players. The four fell off the board but DFX was able to elude the water by doing so many NEOish moves like this one.
Look at their reactions! lol.
Seeing what DFX has done, Da Ying stand up again for the challenge. This time he was successful. But this scene really cracks me up. I was suprised to see that two idols would be doing such a scene. IT maybe corny but it made my day. lol.

After their training outside they transfered to the basketball court wherein the trainor gave Da Ying a shoved and then he throw a twirling ball to the air and Dupey caught it but he also twirl. DFX explained what happen.
Then the episode ended with Ji ER thinking about DFX after talking to her father in the hospital.
Oh well, I think this one is a nice episode with the confession and the training. But this episode would be lovelier for me once it has english subs. lol.
For raw videos you can either go to Youtube or Asian-Dramas.
MYSOJU have english subs for Episode 7 now.

Hey Milet, lol long time. I havn’t been online for a while (due to work, humph, it can be such a kill joy) but thought i’d drop by to check out your review on ep7 of Hot Shot-which I sooo knew you’d have something to say about! lol and I was right. Seriously, I probably won’t be able to tune into Hot Shot for a while so reading yours and Brickwalls reviews keeps me going! Ahhh the confession, i’m so glad that your perception about where this series is heading changed due to the interaction between Ji Er and DFX-mind you from reading what you wrote it seems that DFX is doing all the work! Lol, either way I look forward to it once subs are released. I have a feeling I’ll be watching the whole of Hot Shot in one go. That water scene (training) looks to be a laugh, I loved the three friends (idiots) from day one. Lol they picked good actors to play those nutters, it provides a good dose of comin relief-though Da Ying alone could do the job! heehee
Hope all is well, peace out X

Hehe, ditto
“i do hope that your enjoying your job.” Well if one can call teaching a bunch of 16 year olds as “enjoyable” lol-then I guess i’m having the time of my life! Well, bar the sarcasm, it’s not all that bad, but it does get pretty draining having to stay on top of all the work.
O dear, another bleak ep of Hot Shot, i’m guessing the deadlock which surrounds the bleakness is due to the lack of progress between DFX and Ji Er-which suprisingly doesn’t bother me. You say the ep is pretty action packed with bball tricks/stunts bordering on ridiculous. Though i’m not certain where the story is heading, i’m glad they’ve finally placing more focus on hoops. I prefer it that way-though I still hope for DFX to get the girl! Previews for ep 9?? how’s it looking? Peace out X

@saz,
that sounds fun. haha. but i agree with you jobs like that can be totally draining. have been managing around 10 ojt’s for eight years when i was still employed.
re : epi 9….its the continuation of the basketball game. episode 8 ended with the basketball game going on its last second. and since dfx saw Can (who manage to somehow rob his confidence) passed the ball to daying and da ying in the position to shoot and then the show ended. lol. so everybody is guessing now what will happen on the last few seconds of the game. also, i am not certain if the identity of qui kui will be revealed. every comments i read seems to think that qui kui is ji er. haha. that’s what we are going to find out soon.
enjoy your day!

“have been managing around 10 ojt’s for eight years when i was still employed.” lol you’ve had it tougher than me then!
About prev for ep9, that Can character looks real interesting! I was under the impression that he’d be kind of ‘freakish’ (bit like Chunnies character in this lol), but he seems rather cool. Hmm yeh everyone seems to be discussing Qui Kui’s identity, what do you reckon? Not that I mind if it did turn out to be Jie Er, but I can’t help but feel (that if it did turn out to be Jie Er) then it kinda goes against the character that shes playing in the ‘open (if that makes sense). Maybe its just the acting, which is still a bit of a downside for me. X
