dramas of my life

I am going crazy. lol. Seems like watching a series who uses language I don’t understand has become a weekly habit for me. My older sister is laughing at me telling me that I am going insane. haha. But the truth is, though I don’t understand Mandarin, I am quite surprised that I can get the gist of the episode and majority of the time I can somehow interpret what’s going on. Maybe because I have watched too many Taiwanese drama that made me understand.

I was late tuning in because I was watching the local news. I was not able to watch the beach part where in Ji Er and DFX were talking (though its not a big deal for me because I won’t understand what they are talking about…lol!) and where this scene took place.

Sweet! But then Da Ying came ruining the moment. haha! It even gets sweeter when the two turn their back to Da Ying and walking away from him. Look…

Don’t ask me what that holding hands mean because I don’t know. I’ll have to wait for english subs to understand what is happening in that scene. Seeing this, Da Ying rushed over to Ji Er’s side and hold her left hand. Ji Er is such a lucky girl! lol.

Then the three went to the hospital, Da Ying was taking care of Ji ER’s dad (maybe because he wanted to overshadow DFX). They were talking until the dad drank some juice and choke and the next thing you’ll see is him being rushed in the operating room and the three leads are worried. But of course, DFX took care of everything. There was a scene between Da Ying and Ji ER and it seems Da Ying was building up Ji ER’s confidence. I was laughing when I saw DFX reaction when Da Ying puts his arms arounds Ji Er’s shoulder. At first he was trying to prevent himself from saying anything until he can’t keep the words to himself and spoke it out loud. And then when the two male leads were saying goodbye, Ji ER was saying something to Da Ying when DFX did this…a warning look. haha!

I hope I could understand what Ji Er was telling Da Ying because both guys made some faces that seem to be showing they were in pain from Ji Er words..(maybe there just friends and she is not yet ready for a relationship ? okay I’m guessing). Look at Jerry’s expression..so cute. lol!

And then the two left the hospital head down as if they were rejected.

Then the two made their way to the basketball court and met the Wild Ball Player. Is the wild ball player Ji ER  or another character that will unmasked himself on the coming episodes. But I think it is not Ji Er (c’mon how can you leave your sick dad in the hospital just to play ball, right). During the game, Da Ying has been reviewing the moves of the Wild Ball Player in his head and imagining that he was the one making the move. And then the game ended and Da Ying drove the car of DFX.

The next day is another game day for the PiLili players. One of the Qi brothers is still feeling the injury he got from the last game. As expected the Pili players were behind until Da Ying step up and made so many moves. DFX on his way down after a dunk twist one of his foot. He was in pain but choose to shrugged it off. Again Pili won this time because of the last second shot of Da Ying.

Then the player dance. I thought the Superman dance is just a warm up dance. Now after watching Episode 6, I came to understand that its part of their celebration because of the win. I remember that most collegiate basketball games, at the end of the game, the players of the winning team would stand in the middle of the court and would raise their arms as they sing the hymn of their school. The Superman dance is equivalent to that. And when I saw them dance it came to my understanding that the song is ridiculing the losing team and the dance prove it. And the word LOSER on the song.

After the game, in the dug out. Da ying called Ji ER. They were talking when DFX called Ji ER. The moment she heard the beep of a call waiting she said good bye to Da YIng and talked to DFX. Da Ying tried calling again but Ji Er ignored the beep of the call waiting (now, who do you think weighs more on Ji ER’s heart ?). And tell me what words have made this guy smile so sweetly like this ?

But that smile quickly vanished when he saw Da Ying looking at him. haha. Childish!

Then outside of the dug out, W was walking until she suddenly felt weak. I am not sure if she is clasping her stomach or chest. I am wondering if the reason why she left NBA is because she is sick. I don’t remember if in the past episode she gave a concrete reason why she move back home.

Next scene, was the team’s celebration in a bar, with a guy throwing some bad glances on them. W was having a speech which I don’t understand. haha. Once outside a group of men blocked the teams way. Seems they are out to get DFX fight on the hard court with such a tall guy. There was a one on one game between the tall guy and DFX. As usual, so typical of dramas, the lead actor would first lost and get hurt until DFX got to his senses and copied Da Ying’s move on the previous game. DFX won but the group of bad guy just won’t give up. It seems both sides are ready to fight when the Wild Ball Player appeared together with his own group. That save Pili team from a fight.

When the Wild Ball Player left the Wu brothers appeared. Ji Zun challenge the tall player and did the move of DFX in front of everybody.  I am not sure what the Wu brothers wanted to show but I am thinking that Ji Zun will be a close competitor of DFX.

The episode ended with Da Ying thinking while staring at Ji er in class.

And may I say that Jerry Yan put in a lot of effort on this episode as seen on the behind the scene. Many the epi was physical and there are a lot of strings attached to him. But its all worth it. The one on  one basketball game seem so real.
