Oh yeah! Its not only the baby who is getting her shots. The mommy too!
Today when I went for a check up, Doc gave me two shots - FLU and PNEUMONIA. The flu shots is given every year and the pneumonia shot is given every five years. I know I needed both since my first indicator of a lupus flare is always a FLU. Once I got the temperature everyone who is familiar of my lupus (families, friends, co workers etc) will be overly worried of me. So just a precaution, I know I needed to take the shot.
For the two shots plus the check up fee I paid Php 3,700. Ouch! Plus the lab test last weekend Php 3,100. So all in all for this check up, my medical expense is Php 6,800. Waahh! LUPUS really is high maintenance.

i already had these shots early this year.
you know, i feel sad upon hearing Eds death, i even shed a tear i’m not close to her but since she had lupus din, nakakatakot di ba?
btw, i changed doctors nga pala i went back to my old rheuma in manila doctors, hopefully things will get better na talaga.
i’m still sad…
