I didn’t realize that it used to be called the oblong. Your baby is going to be so smart.

“Oval” was the first shape my youngest mastered, too. We also have a very similar book about shapes.
    Happy HoT :)

Great post… I love the big O formed out of coins. I was confused as a child, because I had heard the word “oblong” but was taught that shape was an “oval”. I thought oblong meant a rectangle shape with rounded corners. *shifty eyes*

    Happy HoT!

    Cool take on the O.
The nice orange oval is lovely.
Somehow the circular things are always with us.

That’s a good one. I thought of orange, but not oval.

Nice take on the theme! I am sure I learned oval instead of oblong as well.

I like the fact that you took time to arrange our coins, shaped it in letter O. Oh yes, oblong and oval.. I remember my first grade. :)

What a cleverly creative ORIGINAL response to this week’s HoTs theme! Well done and thanks for visiting mine at Small Reflections. Sorry to be late in getting here, but life’s been CRAZY the last few days. I’m doing what I can to catch up this afternoon.
    Hugs and blessings,
