Rebate for PLDT users
I am not really sure when it started. All I know was that I am having intermittent connection for the past few days. I called their helpdesk (171) and told them of my problem.
My first call was a few days ago and the call center agent asked me if I am using a router. I told her I am using DLink, so she told me to connect directly to their modem to get the IP. It turns out that the IP I got when I was wireless (via the DLINK) and the IP I got when I am connected directly to their modem was the same. So she told me to do an ipconfig/release only to get an error message. The lady on the other line told me she would tell their technical group and give me a feedback. After the call, my connection was still intermittent.
I won’t be paying attention to the intermittent connection until today while I was talking to hubby. Hubby’s non working days are Friday and Saturday and this is the only time when he can talk to Anevay and see her through video cam. My ym keeps on getting disconnected so I was annoyed and decided to call 171 again. The lady on the other hand did nothing but asked me if I am connected to a router. I told her that even if I disconnect my dlink, the result will be the same, because I know that will be her next request. So she told me she will escalate. I was pissed off already so I just told hubby that will just talk later because I also needed to go to Rustans to buy milk for Anevay.
After an hour, I tried connecting. Unfortunately my connection did not better rather from an intermittent one to nothing. Again, I called 171. I am totally irritated. And the call center agent on the other line did not help. He again asked me to disconnect from my DLINK, get the ip and do an ipconfig/release command. I told him the error was still the same. And I have already called early part of the day and I have not received any feedback. The agent told me that they will just send an engineer. That got me all fired up. I asked him what would I do while waiting for their engineer. Imagine, I called the day before yesterday with the same problem and it was only today that they dispatched an engineer, who unfortunately did not arrived in our house. The agent told me to wait for the engineer, and so I told him what about the money I am paying.
And then he answered, that I would be getting rebates DAW for the days I don’t have internet connection. Do you believed that crap ? I don’t. That’s why I told him that I should have gotten rebates from the time that my connection is slow. Our conversation went into circle because I asked him to look for that logged wherein I report that I have slow connection. Because I know that their logs would be the basis of the rebates. Unfortunately they don’t have it. So how can I claim a rebate for that d ba ?
Now, i don’t know if the rebates program of PLDT is true or what. But from now on everytime I got bad connection I am going to log a complain until its fixed. There are times kasi when I really don’t need connection, I don’t bother reporting it. But now either they send an engineer or give me back my money. And I’m going to keep a record also of the dates and the problems I encountered.
