1. Are you named after anyone? Would you name a child of yours after you?
My name is a combination of my father and mother’s nickname. Would I name a child after mine ? I think so. Or probably I would do the same thing, combine my name and my husband to come up with a unique name for our next child.
2. If you were born a member of the opposite sex what would your name be? If you could switch names with a friend who would it be?
I think I would love to used the name of my husband, Joseph
. It’s so biblical and if translated in Filipino, it will be the name of our national hero. I cannot think of any name of my friend that I would like switching to.
3. Are there any mispronunciations/typos that people do with your name constantly? Would you drop your last name if you became famous?
A lot. When I graduated in high school, the graduation program ( a mini booklet that contains the list of graduates plus the awards) has come up with different version of my name. One has two m, two l or one t. Every award that was given to me spelled my name differently. As for the pronounciation, I also get that one too. Would I drop my last name if I became famous ? I think not. Why ? Because I know some celebrities who have the same last name as mine. Like Jennifer Lopez
4. Name two celebrities that have really great names. Name two celebrities that in your opinion have strange names.
I’m not into celebrities so I will just answer what comes to my mind. Joshua Jackson (of Mighty Ducks and Dawson Creek) and Owen Wilson i think have great names. I just love pronouncing their name and surname. Because they rhyme ? As for strange name – Britney and Paris. Don’t ask me, okay ?
5. Do you like your name? Does your name have a special meaning?
I like my name. Its unique and I have been searching every book and the internet for its meaning but I can’t find any. My name was coined by combining my father’s nickname – Romy. But instead of using the y they used e and then Let for my mother but they added te. So they got Romelette. My older brother and sister goes by the name Romualdo and Romela and my fathers first name is Romulo. ROM runs in the family

Oh thats great your entry is nice. One of my sisters was named by my mom and dad’s name heheh its unique just your name.

Interesting! I went to HS with a boy whose name was Brendon. A combination of Brenda & Don.
