EON and PAYPAL

I was very happy when the email came. Paypal Philippine account can now received money. When I told hubby about this, his question was how are you going to get the money from your Paypal account.

Frankly, that was my question to. But its not my priority at that time. Since I still don’t have some funds. I am focus on generating those funds. And I was so thankful that I stumble upon Jozzua’s blog.

I learn from there that Unionbank EON can be used for paypal withdrawal. That is the reason why Union bank is already flashing the Paypal logo in their website. After reading the post about the EON, i went to UNIONBANK website and applied for the EON card.

According to the website, the card will be available after five days on the branch in which you choose to pick up your card. It’s really convenient.

I applied Oct 25 and because of the long holiday the fifth day was Nov 5. Sure enough, when I call the branch Nov 6, my card was there already.

I was surprised that they only need two valid ids. They did not even asked for a proof of billing which is a requirement every time you apply for something in a bank like account opening or credit card application.

When I got my card (it’s a plus factor that the branch have no customer at that time I went there), and because of the tip I got from those who comment on the entry of Jozzua I deposited Php 500 to it. And when I got home and went online, I applied for internet banking for my account. Which after two days after my application will be accessible. That’s according to the Unionbank website.

In between the waiting for the two day period there was a comment again that the card  still needs to be activated. So I called up UNIONBANK customer service only to be told that I need to call the branch where I got my card for the activation. I called the Marikina branch and they told me that my card will be activated on monday.

After talking to the the branch, I tried to log on to my cyberaccount and again I was surprised to be able to access my account online. It seems UNIONBANK is focusing on their product. So I tried to add my EON card to my paypal.

And it was added! Yahoo! I do not need to use my EON anymore for online transactions! In addition to that, the card indeed accepts paypal withdrawal.

So my next step was…withdraw some funds. It will take five days for the processing though.

I’ll post an update here after five days.

HI Milet! Thanks for dropping by. Unionbank seems to have been noticing all the Paypal-Unionbank accounts being set up. Their website is now a TON lot better that it was 2 years ago. Swerte nyo.
