Yesterday, we went to Robinson’s Metro East to buy our first ever Christmas tree. And since it would be our first Christmas tree. The first two Christmas as a family we did not bother buying. First christmas was that I was pregnant then and we were only two in the house and we dont feel like decorating our then rented apartment. Second, last Christmas, I dont feel like celebrating because it was our first Christmas with hubby in Kuwait.
So what’s the difference now ? One, its our first Christmas in our own house. Second, I wanted Anevay at her early age to know the feeling of Christmas. And third and of course the most important our family will be complete. Hubby is coming home! Yehey!
And so, we went Christmas tree hunting. I am with my sister in law, my elder brother, Buma and Anevay. Luis have a tantrum so he does not want to come with us.
Actually, I already saw the Christmas tree that I like. We went to NBS to buy it. I thought the 6ft only cost Php2,100. So I told myself that it was not much for a Christmas tree since my budget is 3k. I still have some budget left for the decors. But when I asked the sales lady she told me that the price of the 6ft is Php 3,200. Eck! I wanted that Christmas tree because all trees that are being sold today in the malls are the SLIM TYPE. Payat! Eh un mataba! hahah!
So, I stopped and think. I told myself I needed to think it over. Aba! When my sister and I bought the Christmas tree that my brother and his family is now using eh Ph 700 lang un noh. But that was 9 or 8 years ago ? hahaha!
And during my childhood years, we only need to find a branch in our compound and paint it wait and decorate it and viola! we have our christmas tree already.
Nah, I just need to compare prices. I only went to Robinsons Metro East eh. So we left the mall empty handed. Ay noh. We have some bubbles for Anevay and Buma and I was able to buy the November edition of YUMMY. Which reminds me to ask an advance christmas gift from Hubby — mixer. I needed it to bake the chocolate cake. hehe
Anyway, back to the hunting — I was also eyeing the Santa Claus display wherein he is climbing up the stairs and that cost Php1k+.
Hmm…I know I will be spending a fortune on Christmas decors this year but I also know that these decors will come a long way.
I just need to convince myself that its all worth the penny. ![]()
