Again, my patience is being tested. I have been encountering server error more often now. And my YM keeps on signing off much to my annoyance.
Globe Speak n Surf is not that reliable as of the moment.
And since we now have a PLDT line, we are going to apply for their DSL as a back up. And that would be use when hubby comes home for the holiday.
I just need to fit in my schedule to call and asked about their promos.

It would be interesting to find out which internet line will be better - the Globe or the PLDT line. Do post how your experiences turn out.

Hi,
Probably better if you get both landline & Dsl (1MB) packages for 999/month or better. ASKED if the DSL has a built-in router,
so you can run your laptop-wirelessly. You’ll have the ability
to moved around the house, your neighbors, or backyard.
DSL provider are great at the beginning, the more users, the more occupied the bandwidth, the slower, & sometimes annoying- the wait, or issues on processing problem. Internet cafe is a great example, who are occupying the bandwidth through a single-line. The more internet cafe using the same-provider, will undeniably create a problem at your connection at home. Another option is to consider SMART-BRO, DSL –speed is less than 1MB, probably 384,000kpbs. They will an aerial on top of your roof, line of sight to the nearest cell-sight.
This came in our area in Muzon, San Luis , Bat.,(BUKID AREA) around the early part of January 2007. My sister in law Betsy, signed-up for this, on a 1 year contract yata. I tested the speed, watching
DIVINE MERCY TV MASS, & listenning at some audio & video streaming sa religous sites, and I am impressed compared to what
I was using a “GSM or 3G-CELL-CONNECTION,” via N93 & laptop.
I open yahoo-messenger voice & chikka, and it accepted the application without any FIRE-WALL issues, unlike my GSM-which prevented me from accessing this application, limited to text on YM-only, shuts off my chikka- 100%. I also checked viewing all my photos-slides “online,” and I loved it. I connected a “LINKSYS-ROUTER,” EC setup, ask for the smart-bro username, & id, & got my laptop working wirelessly. you may attached a camera, so your husband can view you- all 24 hrs.
I know in todays world, communication is important, your DSL-connection plays a major-role.
