What’s in a name?

Anevay’s name came from the internet. And her second name as well. Her name Anevay means superior and Jahzara is blessed princess. Anevay was chosen by her daddy while I chose her second name because she really is a blessing to us after all the storms that have come our way.

Hubby’s name is the english version of the name of his father.

While mine is a combination of my father and mothers name. Which when Papa first heard it he said that it sound like a name of a dog (ha!ha!). Its spelling is quite confusing that when I graduated from high school, the program consist of different spellings of my name. My name will be spelled out as either having two Ls and one Ts or one L and one T or two Ms etc. There are many variation when they spelled my name. When somebody ask what my full name is, I make it a point to spell it out carefully.

Everytime I applied for something, I make sure that it is spelled correctly. Especially when we are applying for marriage license. And as practice, I am always on the lookout for the spelling of my name.

I am not sure why when we have signed the deed of sale of the house I was not able to correct the spelling of my name. I was able to see the mispelled names on the Pag ibig Docs, in which every page contains my mispelled name. There was even a page that contains the letter N in place of M. I corrected all those docs except for one which was followed when the title was transferred to our name.

URGH! When the title was handed to me by the agent I already saw the wrong version of my name. I asked her if that would be a problem she told me, NO! But when she called PAGIBIG they told her to correct it on the Registry of Deeds. So I furnished her a copy of our marriage contract, my SSS ID, student permit for driving, passport. I hope those are enough proof. And I do hope the ammendments would not cost much because we have been spending so much on the transfers of the title (6% of the amount of the house and lot) and the transfer of name for utility bills.

Just when I thought we are done already with the expenses! Hay buhay!
