I posted the above entry last night : September 20. Now I am editing it Sept 21. Why ?because hubby already received it from Emil.
So here’s the story.
When Mahal left last August he forgot his AC adapter for his TP. He was already going to buy a new one when Emil (ex officemate in IBM Solutions and now officemate and housemate in Kuwait) told him not to because he will be coming to the Philippines for a vacation the next week.
I am not sure how I got the idea to buy my husband a gift but it dawn me that I now have the opportunity to suprise him on his upcoming birthday and I wanted to do something in exchange for his sweetness. At first, I did not really know what to give him. But I settled to look for a watch because last May when he went for a vacation while shopping for his clothes he was looking around for a watch also. And the watch he is using right now, is a Timex watch I gave him December 2001. And its the only handy thing that I can think of that would not be much of a burden to Emil.
So, I bought the watch and meet up with Emil. That was my motivation to go out of the house despite of a stormy weather. And I tell you its all worth it.
Because Emil added some thoughtfulness on the side. According to my dearest husband, Emil put the box of the watch and my card on top of his TP. At first, he did not notice both but when he was about to check for the file he is downloading from Torrent there he saw the card with Emil’s handwriting of HAPPY BEERDAY. I am really thankful to Emil. This would not be possible if not for his help.
I am really really happy. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAHAL! and I AM GLAD THAT YOU LIKE MY GIFT!
