At 13 months

It really amazed me now that I am seeing and taking care of Anevay. For me, I cannot quite believed that my LUPUS days are gone. The once weak body has been tranformed into a body ready to wrestle and carry a 10.2 kilo baby. Bathe her while she is struggling to keep me from washing her hair, feed her while she wants to feed herself.

My days are constantly bombarded with lots and lots of interaction with Anevay. Which I am really really enjoying especially now that she can interact and communicate with me.

At 13 months :

  • she wakes up really early. at around 6 to 7. 7 is the latest, but the earliest is 5:30. so you see, she turn me into an early bird again. which i already forget about when i had lupus.
  • she naps twice in a day. one in the morning, around eigth to nine, depending on the time she wakes up in the morning. and one in the afternoon, around two to three, which will depend on what time she wakes up from her morning nap.
  • she would take a nap in the morning if and only if she would be given a bath. and bath time is a struggle since she hates being shampooed and pouring water in her head.
  • for her morning nap, she wakes up just in time to catch GAME K N B? Yes, she likes that show. In fact, the first antics she learn was from that show. She would raised her hand everytime edu would say, game ka na ba? or a contestant would say ABANTE AKO!
  • her meal is now rice and soup. which i think helps in her bowel movement. but she likes chocolates. now, she fancies eating the nissin wafer, skyflakes (which she loves to bite because of the crackling sound) and chips a hoy, today she have two cookies in one sitting. she eat both while watching tv.
  • she likes telephone. landline or cellphone. the landline, she would pick up and she tries to put the headset in her ear. my cellphone for various reasons. listening to music. she loves wildflower, id like to teach the world by lea salonga, and the makulay ang buhay song. she also loves to watch her videos in my cellphone. if she has no phone on hand and she sees me talking over the phone she will just put her hands on her ears.
  • she loves to watch dora. for commercials, makulay ang buhay by knorr, kering keri by rejoice, and colt 45 commercial of bamboo (like mother, like daughter?)
  • she loves any electrical thingy. from cables, to plugs, to switch, to sockets. she even will pick the cable and plug it into the socket which scares the h3ll out of me.
  • she have lots of books. really, lots! and those where the ones she played with. she would pick a book rather than a toy. she has a book entitled goodnight thumper which was given by my brother in law and she loves it. i read it to her every night that i was able to memorized all the lines. now, i just recite the book to her as if i am reading it. books pacify her tantrum.
  • she loves animals. especially dogs. she is not afraid of seeing dogs fight. she giggles everytime she saw one while I on the other hand want to run. and then when the news shows of ASLAN the tiger, she runs towards the tv and laugh everytime ASLAN moves. she really has no concept of fear as of now.
  • she has some percent of naughtiness. once i call her, she would definitely run away especially if she sees me holding a diaper.
  • i switch her diaper. from pampers all night to eq dry. you see, the claim of pampers all night that it last up to 12 hours is not applicable to Anevay. whats worst is that everynight, Anevay gets wet because she sleeps face down. now with eq dry all i need to do is to change her diaper every 12am and i can be assured that no leak for the night.
  • she sleeps at around eight o clock in the evening. one thing i have painstakinly practice her. and she would only sleep if i am beside her, hugging her. my one arm will be her pillow while the other one should be used to embrace her.
  • she has yet to let go of her PACIFIER! whaaahhha…its affecting her teeth already.
  • she hums and sing. and pretend to read her book by murmuring something.
  • she can say the word baby and daddy straight but has yet to utter ‘mommy’. :(.
  • she runs around the house, picks anything that she sees, and put it to her mouth. even the tinies, she can see. so i always need to vacuum.

i guess, thats all i can remember for now since there is a lot of improvement on anevay. she is really growing up so fast. and that i am thankful to god.

just one thing though, i do hope daddy would see more of her developments personally in the near future. so that he could also share with me the chores of taking care a super energetic baby. who never gets tired of going around.
